Delta Cultural Center
What to know
The Delta Cultural Center is a museum dedicated to the history and culture of the Arkansas Delta. Although the center oversees a number of listings around Helena, its heart lies within four properties along Cherry and Missouri streets in downtown.
The Depot is home to a number of permanent exhibits, which cover the history and geography of the Delta. It is located at 95 Missouri Street in a renovated 1912 Missouri Pacific railroad station. The Delta Eagle Room is located in the rear of the depot and may be rented for special events. In addition to a meeting room, there is a small caterer's kitchen, private entrance and restrooms.
Cherry Street Pavilion is a permanent covered outdoor stage. The Pavilion is the site of the annual King Biscuit Blues Festival and is used for a number of other purposes and events. Reservations are required.
The DCC Visitor's Center provides interpretive exhibits, a gift shop, staff offices and a working radio studio. This studio presents the world renowned King Biscuit Time radio program every weekday from 12:15 pm to 12:45 pm, Standard Time. The Visitor's Center is located at 141 Cherry Street.
Musical activities and educational programs take place in the Miller Annex, located at 223 Cherry Street. The annex plays host to the Civil War Roundtable of the Delta and is the home of the Front Porch Blues series.
