1. The permanent collection of Little Rock’s Arkansas Arts Center boasts a number of renowned works including drawings, contemporary craft and special exhibits. The museum’s drawings have garnered an international reputation for excellence.

2. Located on the banks of the Arkansas River the Clinton Presidential Library features rotating exhibits, a replica of the Oval Office and the largest collection of presidential papers and artifacts in U.S. history.

3. See the evolution of the 20th century American woman through the bags she carried and their contents. ESSE Purse Museum – one of three purse museums in the world and the only one in the United States – is a don’t miss experience.

4. Heifer International has been working to end hunger and poverty since 1944. Tour the world headquarters in Little Rock or check out the Heifer Village and Urban Farm. 

5. The Old Mill in the city of North Little Rock is an authentic recreation grist mill that was built in 1933 and appears in the opening scene of 1939’s Gone with the Wind. The Old Mill's surrounding park is a kid-friendly wonderland.

6. Central High School National Historic Site serves as a symbol of the struggle over school desegregation. This unit of the National Park Service tells the story of the 1957 desegregation crisis in Little Rock through artifacts, news clippings, photographs and recordings.
